Reviews:

“Swierczynski cleverly melds the thriller and fantasy elements (especially the notion of nonlinear time), producing a thoroughly readable, suspenseful romp that evokes John D. MacDonald’s pulp classic The Girl, the Gold Watch & Everything.” – Booklist

“Swierczynski has to do some creative hand-waving about astral projection to keep the fantasy-mystery plot of Expiration Date moving like a well-maintained amusement park ride. Plausibility may not be the book's virtue, but Mickey's tour through his family's long-buried secrets is ultimately affecting, suspenseful and satisfying.” –San Francisco Chronicle

“an immensely satisfying mystery and science fiction novel about one of the most mundane and important things in the world, family. I highly recommend it.” – Dave Richards, Comic Book Resources

“This is an outstanding example of modern noir, though, oddly, it’s also a time travel novel.” – Andrew Byers, Tales from the Bookworm's Lair“There’s inventiveness on every page, but what makes the book work – I hate using this word, but it’s appropriate – is its heart.” – Vince Keenan

“It’s a fast ride; maybe too fast since it was over before I was ready, but it’s a fun read and a fine break from the real-to-life news that bombards us day to day.” – Charlie Stella

“As usual with Swierczynski, the book moves like a bullet.” – Bill Crider

Blurbs:
“Duane Swierczynski is one of the best thriller writers in America, and probably my favorite. I blazed through Expiration Date in one sitting and I loved it.” - James Frey, New York Times bestselling author of Bright Shiny Morning and A Million Little Pieces

“Duane Swierczynski continues to carve out his own unique literary presence in a fascinating fusion of mystery, suspense, and sophisticated dark fantasy fiction.  EXPIRATION DATE is a skillful, fast-paced, rock'em, jolt'em, spook'em, leave-em-laughin' story with believable characters and a pedal to the floor narrative drive.  Top of the line entertainment.” – Tom Piccirilli, author of Shadow Season
